Through many year of clinical experience, Damariz has adopted a collaborative approach to speech therapy, and realizes the importance of parental involvement in therapeutic outcomes. She has a high level of experience working in early intervention with language delay, articulation delay, autism, ADHD, pragmatic delays and stuttering for children aged 3-15 across various home, school and clinic-based settings. She utilizes strategies from the Hanen Centre, that focuses on creating meaningful experiences among parent and child in order to enhance overall communication. Additionally, she has experience implementing technology supports such as Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and speech-generating apps such as TouchChat in order to increase overall communication in children with limited language skills. She is currently licensed to practice speech therapy in the state of California and is bilingual in English and Spanish. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Speech Pathology certification from California State University Northridge.
